Think about it, he appears in a strange world with no knowledge whatsoever, deals with unnatural creatures, explores the depths of the world and single-handedly industrializes it. He builds his own mansions, cause he’s cool like that, and uses materials he finds to open portals to entirely new worlds. I think we’ve already established that Steve is the biggest badass of the badass community.
